Camille Walala's poster for the 2022 Montreaux Jazz Festival was truly inspiring. Her use of abstract shapes in bright, vibrant colors perfectly captured the essence of a jazz composition. Building on her ideas, I decided to take things one step further and bring her design to life with motion.

Visual Storytelling

Storyboarding played a crucial role in this project. Concept-wise, I assigned the various colors and shapes to jazz instruments and sounds. I then picked a song that fit this narrative. Before diving into After Effects, I meticulously planned and mapped out the entire video using Illustrator. By doing so, I was able to visualize and refine the concept before bringing it to life with animation.
